I have watched and re-watched every episode of TC too many times to count. I'm sure an intervention will be happening at any minute. I watched the latest TC marathon as if I was main lining the show. Oh,the buzz I got!

Dave, I love you. You're funny and can cook. "I'm not your bitch,Bitch!" was priceless.

I want to go to a bar with you and rip on all the skinny bitches. Let's trash their style and say they have fat asses. We can roll our eyes in unison and call each other "honey."

Harold, you rock!

Oh Tom... I just can't wait to hear more. That's why I'm tuning in and watching the preview for Top Chef 2. The Return of the Knives. With bated breath we're waiting, and now with only weeks until the first head on the chopping block, Bravo producers taunt us with

dun dun duuuuuun...

The Preview.

OK, first things first. " Has anyone seen Katie? What happened to Katie?" I ask in my best Tim Gunn voice. It seems Mrs. Joel is out, but who is this Indian beauty?

Why it's Mrs. Rushdie!

Well, I guess Indian International author trumps New Jersian International musician. But being realistic, as those of us who watched last season, Mrs. Joel really was more like a broken record than a Greatest Hits cd. Padma, you got tiny shoes to fill!

Moving on to the other judges...

yes, he's back and has us grabbing our bowls and spoons in Oliver - style begging "Please sir,can (we) have sumore?

"Tom Colicchio in true "Yah,I"m a bad man but you think I"m sexy anyway"style strolls into the second season without a misplaced hair on his head ...wait... anyway.

And then there's Nina...I mean Gail...

still looking like that girl next door grown up with a bit of attitude mixed into that "oh-so-genuine" style of hers. While she's whacking away at your knees,she's distracting you with that powerful eye contact.

I don't care if you're male or female, gay or straight, those eyes will get you every time.....

"Pack your knives and go"..."uh what did you say?"

Ok enough about the people we recognize. How about the newbies.

Too soon to tell, so here's my first impression after exactly 2 minutes and 25 seconds:

Betty- "Bad mommy"

Carlos-"I'm gay and I love to cook....oh and did I mention that I'm gay?"

Michael- Looks like some guys I knew in college, and I'm not sure I would want him to make me a PB and J sandwich let alone a gourmet meal.

Otto- Way too much grinding...makes me worry how you stir soup.

Elia- ok, she's cute.

IIan- I can't take him seriously...his hair looks like my 9 month old's...I want to hand him a pacifier.

Emily- I'm getting a scary Tiffani vibe....I would love to see her cry before the end of the season.

Marisa- Looks like Padma on a bad day....anyone who implies they're sexy.... paints a target on their ass....fire away,ladies and gents!

Cliff- ok....but I'm not inviting him to any diner parties at my house. I like my china.

Marcel- I think the mad scientist thing doesn't have anything to do with your cooking. Anyone got a mirror?

Frank- I"m foreseeing that "Hack" statement coming back to slam spaghetti in your face....just a hunch.

Josie- I like you now,girl.....don't disappoint me.

Mia- I hope you cook in that hat......iIt might make up for some other hairstyles...(cough)...Marcel (cough)...Ilan.

Sam- I don't know you, but I am ready to give you a house full of little chefs.

Suyai- Either you're nuts or you want people to think you're nuts....which means you're nuts.

Having looked at their profiles, though, I have one question to ask: "

Does Bravo believe anyone outside New York, Las Vegas, or California can cook?"

With the exception of 2 contestants, it seems Top Chef's producers forgot there was a whole nation between the two coastlines and beyond.

Somebody get them a map!
