Chow Bella!

While interviewing Top Chef-testants is our joy, we know we don't do it nearly as well as Meredith Arthur over at Chow...So, we decided to turn the tables on her, with hopes that she could inspire us to be the best at what we do.

Us: Tell us a bit about yourself.

M: I’m the multimedia producer for CHOW.com, a food and media website founded about a year ago.

Us:Tell us a bit about CHOW.

M: CHOW started as a print magazine, and was then bought by a larger internet company, CNET, and the editorial team (including me) was brought over to help build a big food website. That food site includes within it chowhound.com, the very popular restaurant discussion board site. We have stories, videos, podcasts, discussions, and a lot more on CHOW.com.

Ted Allen: UNCORKED: Wine Made Simple

This just in:
Just a heads-up to let you know that food connoisseur/wine expert Ted Allen will be at Thirteen/WNET's studios in New York City tomorrow (Tuesday, July 24) to tape a spot for our upcoming pledge drive around his new program UNCORKED: Wine Made Simple. He will be in the studio with Lettie Teague, author of Educating Peter: How I Taught a Famous Movie Critic the Difference Between Cabernet and Merlot or How Anyone Can Become an (Almost) Instant Wine Expert, and famous movie critic Peter Travers of Rolling Stone magazine.

UNCORKED: Wine Made Simple will premiere on Sunday, August 5 on Thirteen from 5 to 6 p.m. with "Uncorked: First Taste." In this new series, we discover what wine is by meeting the people who make it, write about it, cook with it and drink it! The episode also defines some important wine terminology and explores the world's most well- known wine producing regions.

From Edward Gregory, Sr. Publicist Thirteen/WNET New York

Thanks Edward for the heads up! We love everything Ted!

Sunday Roast

By Chef Biatch

Once again it is time for a good Sunday Roast. This time you even get to sing along.

Hung was snuggled,
all in his bed.
While visions of cleavers,
danced in his head.

(To the tune. Rolling, Rolling, Rolling.)

Rolling Rolling Rolling,,,
Keep Tre Rolling.
We think he's a Top Chef,
Others may not agree.
Hung may be a running punk,
But we wanna see Tre in his BVD`s.
Rolling Rolling Rolling...

You do the hokey pokey
and you turn yourself around.

If Casey loses,
she can try out for season 2 of Shear Genius!
(view the whole extra video HERE)

Ok, page 64
question number 194
of the Top Chef Contestant contract,
" I allow Blogging Top Chef to Roast me"

Feel free to leave comments or
