i can't believe lisa is still there........
there was a moment when i actually thought that padma was going to say: "spike and lisa, please pack your knives and go."
but it didn't happen...
lisa's potatoes saved her. but they also had a problem with her overall cooking technique. maybe next week is lisa's time to leave. she just pales in comparison next to the stephanie, richard, and antonia.
i also can't believe that she and spike lasted as long as they did.
i'm happy that stephanie won. and that richard and antonia made it to the finals. yay!
I thought that tonight's eposide was great for the following reasons:
1) Tom is back;
2) Stephanie won the elimination challenge;
3) Richard made it to the finals;
4) Antonia made it to the finals;
5) Gail sat as judge tonight;
6) Harold came back as special guest;
7) Hung came back as special guest;
8) Spike finally packed his knives and left the show.
Can't wait for next week's episode.
Lisa should have went home last week and its bull shit that she didn't go home this week, the judges should have taken into consideration the quickfire challenge when making there final decision about spike!
Geez, I know Spike screwed up but Lisa does not deserve to be in the Top 4. Her attitude and manipulations got rid of Andrew and Dale, both better cooks than she is.
Lisa said she was 'gonna bring it' when she gets to Puerto Rico, but she hasn't all season. She'll be humiliated in the final challenge and I'll enjoy every minute.
I agree maybe it was time for both of them to leave. However, Spike should have gone weeks ago. He was lucky not to get the chop when he was on the block with MANUEL! His front of house looked horrible last week, and he hasn't cooked more than one dish in weeks. His He should sign up for survivor.
Sorta surprised Spike and Lisa made it that far. Picked Richard, Steph and Antonia on Day One.

When Lisa said she'll "bring it" to Puerto Rico, did she mean shampoo?
Anywhos, I knew from the first challenge that Stephanie would make it. I had thought the other guy would be Dale. Richard was a tossup - wasn't sure if he could cook without his molecular gastronomy bag of tricks; once he showed, he could - knew he'd be the third.
Never thought Antonia could get this far, too. But congrats to her that she did.
I have a strong feeling that the fourth wheel, *cough* Lisa *cough* will be eliminated next week. And three will be at the final.
Until Lisa leaves, I find the show almost unwatchable. Her comments are not that great, yet for some reason they keep showcasing them. I want to hear more from Richard, Stephanie, and Antonia, and less from Lisa. I wonder that she didn't explode with her mouth zipped tight, her arms crossed, and her eyes bulging as she realized that once again she was at the bottom. Lisa has been saved time and again for the dumbest reasons. That she is going to Puerto Rico instead of Dale is another reason why this season just doesn't stack up.
The reason Lisa is still there in all of her coarse, foul-mouthed, "I-dare-you-to-uncross-my-arms" glory is evident in this and other TC-related blogs: We're all talking about her. Those producers are brilliant, eh?
I have really REALLY lost interest in top chef of late. Really... I know it's a cooking contest, but gees, it's also a TV show that people watch.
At some point the producers need to step in at judges table and say "you know what guys, there were a few people who sucked this week, send home one of the ones who doesn't make for such great TV." Everyone with even the remotest slightest amount of personality is gone. Ryan, Marc, Andrew and now spike were all immensely watchable, whereas Antonia is about the most boring person i've ever had the misfortune to see, Stephanie is at best remotely interesting as a counterpoint for the more out there personalities, which have now gone... she is quite amusing while passing comment on the funnier aspects of life on top chef, which are now sorely missing. Blais, while interesting as a chef brings little to the table in terms of conflict or humor, and is far too self obsessed to be of any real interest, and while keeping lisa is, i think, a good thing (conflict = good TV) she now has no-one who will really rise to her.
Sure, the food is a huge part of the show, but who amongst us wasn't really more interested in Illan and Marcel going toe to toe, which one of us wasn't interested in the human drama which was candice and Stephen... or even just stephen (was he for real). Did any of us not laugh out loud at Mikey's Vending Machine Phallus. Or CJ... oh CJ
Seriously, I feel i have no one left to pull for. I guess i'll be kinda happy if stephanie wins, but believe me when i say i take no real joy in it.
Please... producers... go back, rewatch season one and two and try to remind yourselves of the things that made us watch this show in the first place. There are loads of food shows, but only one TOP CHEF, and sadly, for me, this past two seasons have not in any way produced a top chef for me.
What a disappointing final this will be.

LOL! So did I. My dog was looking at me strangely and started barking (he doesn't like Spike, either).
I don't think she sleeping or retarded. I think this is the pose her therapist told her to adopt when she wanted to bust a cap in someone's ass. As we can see, that starts about eight seconds after she stops moving.
I agree Luke. I know a lot of people didn't like him, but I adored Spike. It's a cooking show, but we don't taste the food so there needs to be something more. Spike and a couple of the others are the only thing that made this season watchable.
