Hmmm...last week it was a spat between Andrew and Lisa, but it was Andrew that went home. This week it was between Dale and Lisa, and Dale was sent packing. What's with her and her passive aggressive smugness? Time for Lisa to go.
Noooo, Not Dale! I thought his personality sucked but when he broke down crying I knew it was just a hardass act. And he won last week and has had other wins.
Spike on the other hand is a cunning little bastard and I can't wait for him to go and I really think he was the rice saboteur. He was cooking right behind Lisa and we know he play those stupid mind games. "Only 2 left, better hurry"!
I have to agree. I never write my comments on these blogs, but this time I have to. Lisa is the problem and it is a shame. Not only did Dale win several times, he always seemed to be a favorite (food that is). Everyone in the kitchen can get a little uptight. Lisa needs to look in the mirror. What a loss. I too am crying with Dale.
Lisa is the villain that the producers can't kill off until the end. Cynical? Perhaps. But the show is starting to look like culinary professional wrestling. Saddling Dale with the two bottom-feeding chopping-block regulars (Spike, a/k/a Eddie Haskell, and the totally hideous Lisa) and then booting him off for not being able to pull off a miracle is kinda like giving a guy an anvil for each hand and telling him to swim the English Channel. Last night I lost respect for the show and the judges, including Bourdain. Lisa is bad, she basically screwed over Andrew and Dale, and got away with it. She will get the axe, but too late for her more worthy competitors.
Very frustrating--All season, Dale has been the most consistent, and made the food I want to eat most. If he had not made a failed dish (butterscotch scallops) in addition to being the chef, he MIGHT have squeaked through and Lisa would be gone...and she definitely would be gone if he had let her be the exec chef.
But the MOST frustrating is that sneaky evil Spike is still there, he has cooked OK but never anything inspiring, and mainly has just shown that he can play the game to stick around. He is must more focused on the game than food--Dale believed in food and didnt care about the game. I wish this show were more about the food than the game. I really hope Spike is out next week.
I really think it was 100% Dale's scallops that were the reason he was sent home. He conceptualized and executed that dish 100% by himself without any recipe ?s or wrong ingredients. And it was, seemingly, the worst dish the judges had. That doesn't fly.
Copied and Pasted. I posted on the official site, but I doubt it will get posted cuz I reveal all truth in my posts.
I know my comments aren't gonna be as hard hitting as if I posted last week when I wanted to but...
I'll skip the Dale talk, because everyone else has already gone over how he's been on the top in almost all the recent challenges, but let's move further.
Yes, I know Top Chef really wanted Casey to win last year. It was so obvious that they wanted a woman to finally win. But since she couldn't cut it, u decided to go with a minority instead of the gay white guy. I don't count Ilan as a minority cuz that guy is White to me.
So it's obvious that Dale, Richard, and Stephanie (yes, I would have said this even before this week's show), are the top 3, and it can be argued that Antonia could be in the third spot. With Dale exiting, it is just obvious that this season is begging to have Stephanie win this.
I know you have to be politically correct and have a woman win sometime, but this is just messed up. Richard is the best chef left, so you're obviously setting it up to be a Richard Vs. Stephanie Final in which Stephanie takes it. Seriously, how obvious can you get. You've got 3 girls left, and 1 guy. Even though Richard is obviously the best (intuitive technique, creative thinking and dishes), I am willing to bet my life that he does not win, because he is a man, and theres no way a man can win Top Chef 4 years in a row.
I'm gonna check back to make sure this gets posted. I'd hate to see them erase my post because I spoiled the ending 3 (woulda been 4) shows ahead of time.
You know that would be a great twist if you actually would bring Dale back. I mean I have been caught watching Project Runway a time or two, but I hated that one girl from the season before last. Her clothes were so dull and her and Vincent both rightfully got kicked off. You let them both come back though in that one episode, if and only if, they won the challenge. Last season someone got sick, and you let Chris come back and he actually made it to the finals.
Come on guys, pull a twist, even though I'm pretty sure the rest of the season has already been filmed, edited, and ready for air already.
Okay guys, those wondering why Dale got eliminated, I have the answer. Although, I will be shocked if Bravo lets me post it, here goes.
Tre got axxed last season for the same reason. He was the exec chef of the losing restaurant wars team. Tre showed much promise too, just like Dale, except he had a pretty good dish he made too.
They had to keep the consistency with this season, otherwise there would be a lot of people pulling the "race card" asking why an African American contestant goes home last season, but a non African American doesn't go home in similar circumstances this season. Top Chef had to avoid being called racist, and they have to let a girl win this season in order to avoid being sexist.

He had some skills and a sense-of-urgency. I'd hire him and correct his flaws.

UGH, I'm so sad and I'm crying with you Dale :(

Here's the rule for the remaining chefs:
Don't get in a spitting match with Lisa. She will drop you. You will go down.
