Congrats to Stephanie!!!!
YAY!!!! I'm so happy Stephanie won!
CONGRATULATIONS!
Very well deserved, indeed.
:-)
I shouted when she said Stephanie won. The way the show played out it seemed Lisa would pull it out after all.
Felt Bad for Richard, he knew he screwed it up. But hey, he won a car! They know he is good.
Thanks for the great season, chefs!

Congrats and well-deserved to Stephanie (though maybe not for this last meal!). However this was hands-down the worst finale show of all 4 seasons. Serving mixed tasting menus simultaneously? Limited ingredients? Only 4 courses including mandatory dessert? And stranding the chefs with no sous chef assistance without warning? I do not feel in any way we saw anything close to these chefs' "best" meals. Sucked! Glad a woman finally took the title however, and that it wasn't consistent loser and sourpuss Lisa!
Congratulations, Stephanie! I'm glad she won, especially when it seemed that Richard didn't blow away the judges like he often does. But as anonymous said, at least he won a car! Wow!
I'm probably happier that Lisa lost! She was so smug and didn't deserve to be there. I thought it was great when the judges reminded them that Richard and Stephanie had each won 4 elimination challenges and Lisa only one (1)! LOL
Bravo, BRAVO.
Steph proved her mettle more than once this season. I, too, am glad a woman finally won.
I have a hard time accepting Richard's "choke". He is a very talented chef, though, and I'm sure his future will be bright.
Lisa made a good meal, but her sourness stains everything.
Congrats, Stephanie - you did a solid job all season long with a high degree of intregrity - nice to see;) I have to to agree with Josiah on the overall quality of the finale, though. This was by far the worst final ever. Not the finalists but the production values. No reunion (which is actually okay with me) but hardly any build-up. No truly unique challenge. A final three instead of a final two, etc. It just seemed REALLY slapped together - almost an after-thought. I think producers are forgetting that a lot of people actually watch this show for the food aspect. The food seems to have become an after-thought. I still distinctly remember great recipes from Season 1 and Season 2, but I am having a hard-time recalling anything truly special from the last 2 seasons. Sad. Another good show ruined by over-zealous producers who can't be satisified with just good or even great ratings. They have to shoot for "uber" ratings and in the process ruin the show and alienate its core audience.
Congrats to Stephanie! Throughout the season I was always rooting for Richard to win, but Stephanie and Dale came in at a close second. I'm glad she won. I was kinda nervous when the chefs/judges kept complimenting on how Lisa's dishes were awesome. That would have been disastrous if she had won (heaven forbid)! I also felt really bad for Richard and was also somewhat surprised that he admitted to "choking" on this final. I cannot wait to see the S4 reunion show next week and see a smackdown between Lisa vs. practically everybody!
I picked her before the season started. Right now, considering everything...
1) Harold
2) Stephanie
3) Hung
4) Cretin Boy
But Hung is VERY close.
I have been watching “Top Chef” since the beginning. I found this reality show very competitive, educational and a positive influence to Chefs around the world. I have owned and operated a small seafood restaurant in Virginia for 21 years. Top Chef has re-energized me to give it my best in the kitchen, and opened my eyes to new and exciting recipes.
Each season has been exciting, and in most cases fair and decisive.
This year is the exception. Bravo TV made every effort to banish all the Chefs that would bring any type of competition to the table in the finals. It would be a shame if Bravo TV/Top Chef made all efforts to crown a champion this season base on one’s sex.
It was made obvious when Dale was sent packing during the “Restaurant Wars.” Dale was by far the leading contender, along with Richard, to win this season.
To send Dale home, when you had the choice to cut Lisa, who only won one challenge and zero quick fires (and Spike who did as poorly as Lisa) – is a “NO - BRAINER.”
You have compromise the integrity of this show. In addition, I believe most of your viewers, especially professional chefs, know this as a fact. The fix was in!!

I hate to say it but I agree with anonymous. It was a fix. A woman was sure to win. I wonder if they paid Richard to tone it down. I am a woman; and I was definitely for Stephanie. She has talent and she has the leadership skills in the kitchen. I honestly think her ability to control the kitchen and to run a business came through. She is certainly better than Richard in terms of overall ability in the field. Lots of good chefs who cannot run a restaurant; and some who can – but others, like Stephanie, who can do it better. Still as a chef and a woman; I would have liked to see her really earn it. I think she would have; but they took that away from her.
I guess I would not have noticed as much if it were not "Lisa" knocking all the guys out. She really sucked.
Bottom line it seemed "unnecessarily" fixed. Still I often remind myself that most of it is staged. In the end its T.V. and it’s about entertainment and ratings. No one knows how much is real. Even the comments are practiced, rehearsed and often reflect exactly what the producers want. In this case it was for Stephanie to win. Which it seemed to me she may have done without manipulation.
Congratulations, Stephanie!
