Top Chef Season 4 - Final Part 1
16 began... 4 remain. It is time for the final and the next Top Chef.
Last Friday's poll asked "Who will be the next Top Chef?". As of this posting, with 580 votes, we TC fans are selecting Stephanie with 369 votes. Richard has 139, Antonia has 66 and 6 of you believe in Lisa.
So off to Puerto Rico tonight and the beginning of the search. Will two be eliminated for a final 2? Will only 1 go tonight for a final 3? Who might be coming back to help them? Who will judge?
So many questions. One thing we know for sure, the LIVE chat will be open tonight, here on the blog and it will be the place to be. So join us for some fun while you watch the show.

Haha, lisa should have 5 votes. I misread the poll and thought it asked which top chef would get kicked off next.
So today youngest son and I decide we should have scallops to celebrate the last episode. I've never done scallops before. My mom used to serve them all the time so I know a good tasting scallop. So off I go to the supermarket. Found them. And they were (cue music of doom) previously frozen.
Oh my. They are still cooking. I think they are poaching or boiling there is so much liquid in them.
I'll have to try and find fresh scallops around here to compare.
Why is Lisa still on this show? She should have been eliminated 4 episodes ago. I would have expected Dale to be in the top 4, now this chick is in the top 3, over Antonia. Is it because the producers want people to watch...and wait for her to go down or is it because she's Jewish, whatever the reason, it certainly can't be because she acts like a professional chef.

WHAT THE HELL... I have lost complete faith in this show Lisa is in the top 3. Shes OK, but clearly the weeker Chef, shes been at the bottom WAY too many times.

Uh, no. Everyone is NOT a little bit racist. Pathetic, ignorant and idiotic comments like Lisa remains on the show because she's Jewish just reveal your own misguided and disgusting psyche. Of course Lisa should have been eliminated, way before Dale or Antonia left. Ratings is the reason, to be sure. But a comment such as yours, YOUR racism, is moronic.
I seem only one anywhere that is fine with Lisa in the final three. She is not pleasant nor overly skilled, but she has bigger balls than me and I like that. Everyone wants everyone to be nice. I like her in-your-face attitude - she doesn't take crap and she pulls no punches. Stephanie is my favorite and I hope she wins. Richard appears to be a good chef but he rings false to me. His personality seems fake. I'd be fine with a Steph win, Lisa 2nd, and Richard 3rd. And then he could be congratulated for taking the 'bronze'.
Lisa is still on the show because they judge week to week. Consistently, she has been one of the worst on the show. But, consistently, there has been someone worse than her every week. They don't judge on who the best chef is. They judge on who was the best on each challenge.
Lisa isn't Jewish! She is just saying that to get the sympathy vote. For a Jew she is one mean lady. When she did not get sent home she was even complaining. I thought she would be happy. Apparently, she did not like it that Richard and Stephanie were not hugging her and giving her kisses for making it to the final three. Lisa can't work with anyone. She thinks her cooking is the best if if they are not then something is wrong with the judges. Richard and Stephanie never got along with Lisa and her attitude so why would now be any different? After all, the whole point of the abundant swearing on this season was to show chefs as they really are....low class hardworking !@#$ who make even seasoned sailors blush.
It was great seeing Dale back on the show. I missed him. I was so sad when he had to go home. Although at times during this season I didn't care for Antonia's snide comments she is a much better chef than Lisa "i have a fish hook" Fernandes. I can understand how sad Richard and Stephanie were when Antonia left. They were still grieving when the arrogant Lisa wanted some attention. I wish someone would run her over with a truck. It was great to see Antonia diss Gail. She is not a real food expert.Although I do admire her implants...very nice, but her personality needs alot of work. Now, I would not be surprised if Lisa won Top Chef. There is a reaosn they kept her on the show. Is it because to give hope those who are arrogant/self absorbed a reason to live. Hey...if Lisa can win Top Chef with that annoying attitude I too can make my dreams come true. This is very sad commentary on the state of the world. If I ran the show who ever swore a certain number of times would be given the boot unless it was used appropriately. Lisa/Spike/Andrew liked to swear alot. Often times they would repeatedly say a curse word over and over again. I can understand if a swear word slips out if a chef almost burns his or her hands or eyebrows. I though Project Runway was a joke...a rigged show. But it seems that Top Chef is much worse. I had stayed way from watching reality shows for quite some time I found that most shows catered to the lowest common denominator. It seems Top Chef is no different. What I also do not like are the judges. They all seem to say the same things over and over again. It's too dry, it's undercooked, too salty, too spicy, portions are too large, portions are not enough. I bet anyone of you can come up with much better commentary on the dishes created than the four "experts" on the show.
i tihnk lisa is a terrible chef she has been in the bottom 2 like 6 times and when she is being criticze she stand there with i dont care what you say attitude and after she a safe yet once again she is like oh i am goint to bring next you should be bringing she thinks she knows it all i think she should been gone before dale was
