Top Chef - Episode 4. Did You Agree?

Chef Leah scores the Quick Fire challenge with a amuse bouche breakfast.

Chef Ariane wins the Elimination with watermelon, tomato, feta, and basil.
Remember she will be on the Today show December 4th. That is tomorrow!

And chef Alex got Burnt. We are sorry Chef Alex but wish you all the best with your new marriage and hope you drop by the little kitchen soon.

I'm sorry... Ariane's food looked like crap.

First bad elimination challenge gimmick this season. First bad episode.

I was beginning to hope Bravo had learned to design clever challenges that really test a Chef's mettle and don't insult viewer's intelligence.

I thought these were great challenges. Why shouldn't they have to practice going on tv? Most of the top finalists from previous years are all demo'ing on tv shows. Just watching the episode I thought that Bangs (Mellisa) should be eliminated. Her food was inedible and it would be ridiculous to try to teach a tv audience to cook with hababneros. However, after reading Leanne's blog on Top Chef, Alex actually didn't complete the challenge with his creme brulee still being frozen for the judges to try.
