Chef Manuel Drops by BTC

Welcome to Blogging Top Chef. We are thrilled that you would drop by the little kitchen (our blog) and chat with us. We understand that it is hard to be eliminated but we appreciate the opportunity to get to know you a little better.

US: You seem like such a gentlemen,was it hard to be put in the spotlight?
Chef Manuel: No, Not hard at all. Being a chef in New York City, you are always in the spotlight one way or another. My mother taught me how to be a gentleman.

US: You had nothing but positive things to say about the chefs,there must be some dirt you're willing to spill?
Chef Manuel: Way too much dirt out there already. I'd like to say that we are all real people. Sometimes we have bad days. Some way more than others.

US: You mentioned your sons, do you get them into the kitchen cooking with you?
Chef Manuel: The Twins love to be in the kitchen with me. They stir, measure and taste when ever I am making something. They love to make cup cakes and have recently taken to wanting to use a knife. it's cute, I give them a butter spreader to use.

US: If you had gone with your choice in movies,what would you have made?
Chef Manuel: I would of gone with like water for chocolate and made quail in rose petal Mole.

US: Have you kept in touch with any of the other chefs?
Chef Manuel: We try to keep in touch. it's very hard with our very busy schedules. we try to stay in touch as much as possible. We all formed our bonds on the show and some of us keep in close communication still.

US: Any special projects or charities you would like to mention?
Chef Manuel: I am enjoying some time off. Traveling and consulting. Looking for the right fit and entertaining a varity of offers for now.

Top Chef Season 4 - Final Part 1

16 began... 4 remain. It is time for the final and the next Top Chef.

Last Friday's poll asked "Who will be the next Top Chef?". As of this posting, with 580 votes, we TC fans are selecting Stephanie with 369 votes. Richard has 139, Antonia has 66 and 6 of you believe in Lisa.

So off to Puerto Rico tonight and the beginning of the search. Will two be eliminated for a final 2? Will only 1 go tonight for a final 3? Who might be coming back to help them? Who will judge?

So many questions. One thing we know for sure, the LIVE chat will be open tonight, here on the blog and it will be the place to be. So join us for some fun while you watch the show.
