I really hate to even think this, but having watched all the episodes several times, I think that the Hose man mane will take it over Carla and Stefan. I hope I am wrong.

I hate to say it ,but the pit of my stomach is also looking at Hack-sea as the winner. They have put Carla on a Casey-like roll just to keep us interested. meanwhile they have been poking holes in Stefan's armor. Therefore, Hacksea can sweep in with a flourish and take the title. Booooooooooo!

i certainly hope it's not hosea ... nice guy, but come on. jamie was my favorite, but my loyalties are now transferred to carla -- go girl!

Anyone but Hosea. I'm hoping for Carla, but I'm half Finn, so I'd be OK with Stefan.

I think Stefan will buckle down tonight and take it. Though I wouldn't mind if another woman took the title. Go home Hosea!

I think its going to be Carla. She's done great work so far and more consistent than the Hose. Stefan will go home empty handed and certainly that wont effect his oversized head syndrome!

I think that if Stephan is on his game, its his to lose.

I think it will be tough.

Please let it Stephan. I've been pulling for Team Euro all season, they have to pull it off.

Stefan is the only person left with the chops to be a Top Chef. Hosea is a wimp, Carla too wacky. Stefan has wit, charm, talent, confidence and experience. He is the best person to win. Of course, the best does not always win. Winess that idiot Ilan from season 2. I still cringe thinking about that one. Sue T

Carla did a live chat with the Washington Post. She writes just like she talks.

Thanks for the link, Lou! Go Carla!

I agree Sue. Season two had two immature dimwits in the final. We all lost

I don't know who will win. Don't understand the hatred for Hosea. Comparing him to the disgusting little wimp Ilan is just absurd, in my view.

No diss to Hosea or Stefan. Go Carla

This is a slap in the face to professional cooks/chefs everywhere. This show has gotten so far off base, with the ridiculous product placements, the "Real World" style drama, and the watered down talent pool(even though I know many quality chefs and some amazing chefs that tried out, and didn't make it! Reinforcing my hunch that this is now about beauty and personality, rather than true culinary talent) that I can no longer take it! Hosea Rosenberg isn't even the 5th best chef in Boulder! He was not shown the door many times because they wanted to play up the whore mongering with Leah(also a total hack!) Jax is a joke! How am I supposed to take this show seriously when the "Top Chef" runs a restaurant that overcooks and under seasons every fish on the menu and serves oysters with cocktail sauce! I know this is going to come off as a bitter rant by a jealous industry worker, but here me out. I have worked in Michelin Two stars in France, helped open Boulder's best restaurant, Frasca F&W, worked alongside Maria Hines, and run a very successful 4 star restaurant on the west coast. I'm from Boulder and have respect for many of the people who have come and gone on Top Chef. I admit that many of the past contestants might be able to cook me under the table. However this season, especially with the outcome is a tragedy. I hope Hosea and his CIA entry level cuisine are happy squandering that 100k and booth at the Aspen festival. I'll be there and probably will be inclined to heckel Hack-sea( even though I won't out of respect for the industry) Oh well I'm gonna go down to Jax and see if I can get some oat crusted egg white sushi and wash it down with a Diet Dr. Pepper spiked Manhattan. Good grief Chuck Brown. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I miss stefan already. :(

thankfully we never have to see Stefan again, he and his big ego head can take a hike. loser

Shame on you Bravo. Seriously, Hosea is Top Chef??? How can an unprofessional, immature, mediocre chef be Top Chef? Yes, I understand that it is an "edited reality show" but Hosea's actions, words, and food were not scripted so viewers do get a sense of his character and ability. Well, they said it was a "surprise winner". I guess the surprise is that the newest "Top Chef" can't cook!

I have a feeling, or at least an overwhelming hope, that we will see very little of Hosea in the future. Years from now Fabio will be a popular cooking show host, Stefan will be running a Michelin starred restaurant, Carla will have written a successful cookbook and Jamie will continue to be a successful and sought after chef. Hosea will be a footnote.

Would be wonderful to see Carla and Fabio, maybe even Jamie writing books, on Tv or successful in their restaurants. Just as long as we dont need to hear /see/think of the two baldies this season, Hosea and Stefan.. team idiots.

Disappointed in decisions made in the end. Especially Carla buckleing and listening to Casey who still, has questionable instincts. She didn't seem to be in to it or care (seen by footage). How sad.
That made me lose my respect for her. She doesn't seem to listen-grow etc.

Didnt you notice the whole season they tried to do that Euro vs USA battle and tried to hype it so much, then in the end we were all supposed to be so happy for Hosea for comming out on top. LAME

Hosea, really? Top chef? Isn't this the same guy who can't fillet an eel for a supposed seafood chef? How could someone so mediocre at best be awarded such a title? Maybe the producers, and Tom just did not want to give it to a European whose skills and techniques were praised week after week by guest chefs including Eric Ripert.

Stefan should have been Top Chef, Carla deserved to be Top Chef, but Hosea should have went home when he threw Erion under the bus, and for making that rude comment to Carla at the end about "I made my own food." As if she wasn't feeling bad enough already. Good season overall, but BAD ending.

I'm disappointed by who won, also. Hosea, as Arianne said, seemed like a wimp of a chef and also a person and the whole slimy thing with Leah didn't give him any points in my book either. It almost feels like when Icklan won.

At 7:50 AM, Blogger fablady said...

I think it was like Ilan win,a loser again, Sorry I felt so bad for Carla and Stefan was so kind and caring for her,it shows he really does have a heart. No way is Hosea Top Chef in my book,he was too busy throwing others under the bus. Not watching the reunion to see him gloat!

At 8:51 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Did I see Leah kissing Hosea in a non-friends way... more like a boyfriend-girlfriend way? I went back but I'm not sure...

At 9:04 AM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Hosea's bitter obsession with Stefan and the way he grabbed all the best food for himself last night, shows what a small, dishonorable person he is. In addition Stefan got stuck with the alligator and made a delicious soup. Who could have pulled that off? Certainly not Hosea (who can't even make a dessert).
The show is so obviously full of s--- . They were determined not to give it to a European.
I'm not going to watch the show next season. It's become a farce.

I wanted Carla to win but I thought Stephan deserved it--but Hosea played to win and the others seemd to run out of gas.
Fabio or Jeff should've been in the Final 3 or 4.

Don't forget Stephan got a kitchen full of appliances and Carla got a car. Not a bad way to go!

At 12:18 PM, Anonymous Anonymous said...

Hosea is an untalented douche. Hopefully he'll use some of the $ to fix those snaggle teeth!

And what was up with Gail Simmons dissing Stephan's dessert? As fat as girlfriend is, she should have been all over that! And oh no she di'nt roll her eyes at a real chef, Rocco D.

The show USED to so fantastic. Now it just another whore sell out with Glad plastic bags and Kenmore appliances. It all started going down hill when non chef Padma (Indian Food cookbook author, REALLY...) took over as the hot hostess who has no palette or original thoughts about food. Granted Mrs. Billy Joel was d-u-l-l, but certainly they could have found a real chef to host.
Casey got a bad rap, Stefan was too much of an egomaniac, Hosea certainly can't cook, and poor poor Carla.....she could've taken it if her nerves hadn't taken her over. They had an open call for chefs in Atlanta last Sunday for the show. I pray my peeps will bring back the greatness of Top Chef!

So if we were to pick another host to replace padma, (cause I think we have had enough of her, at least I have) who would we pick? I vote for giada de laurentiis
