I'm the number one Top Chef fan because I actually know something about food and pretty much ignore the Bravo Drama Queen hyped drama.
I evaluate the challenges based on how creative they are and whether they truly test some aspect of chefly skill. So, I sometimes blast the challenges.
I evaluate the Chefs based on the FOOD THEY MADE on the episode in question and not on how Bravo editors portray their personality. So, I praised Stefan, Carla, and Hosea when they did well and bashed them when they peformed poorly.
In short, Bravo NEEDS objective viewers like me so they can understand what works and what does not.
So, I should get the Calendar!
I am outside the US so I won't bother. I was going to video me wacking off over the group shot of the the season but hey... :)
hello,
lurker coming out of lurkdom to be a WINNNAR!!!
I am the #1 TC fan because this show has really brought out my inner chef. I had one living in me all this time and had no idea.
Since TC season 1( which i have watched a million times and love TC more than project runway) I have really learned so much. I now go miles and miles hunting gourmet markets and rare seafood. I have cooked fab things with mirren and miso and many other things that 5 years ago i had no clue what they even were.
I bought the TC cookbook(which frankly i was a bit unhappy with because the only recipe i was jonesing for was harrolds thai coco-milk soup and it's not in there :() and made many of the dishes. I shop with it in hand asking sa's where to find the stuff i show them from the book.
I cant take a pic of me cooking because i dont have any digital camera or any way to get a photo to you in short notice.
MAKE ME A WINNAR!!!!
did i mention i'm out of work since august 10th?
feel bad for me if it helps sway my win!
:D
if i win just announce it in this thread and i'll send you all my info.
i'll check back daily.
I will let this picture do the talking...
I should win because if I don't someone will get their ass kicked!
(((MUAH)))
I should be the TC calendar winner because I just want one real bad and it's probably a random draw and I'm tired of being Switzerland and my old one has expired.
I've been an avid fan of TC since Season 1 and make sure I catch every episode on time. I love to use the dish concepts I see on TV and incorporate them into my own menus. The show has inspired me to take more cooking classes and more risks with the cuisine I do make, resulting in some major hits and some major misses in my experimentation, but it's fun just the same. I also try to go to TC demos and get the cheftestants to sign my TC cookbook!
Top Chef is has opened so many new doors for me. After so soul searching and a lot of research including blogs, books (Anthony Bourdain’s Kitchen Confidential the first one I read) and shadowing real kitchens I am going to start a culinary career at 36. Top Chef has gotten my children into cooking and all things culinary. We now go to the Farmer’s Market together as well worked out most processed food. Top Chef is my favorite foodie show and I tell everyone who listens what an incredible show it is.
some guy talks of jacking off on a photo and i leave an honest, sincere comment and you pick him..
piss off
you just lost me as a reader .
nice contest that took months to follow up on..
psh
Jaiden,
I'm sorry you're so upset about not winning a Top Chef calendar. If it were up to me, Id given each person who entered one.
We were only contacted by Bravo on Feb.21, so it couldn't have taken months but I do agree, it did seem to take forever to choose the winners. I take full responsibility for the delay.
I tried to make this as fair as possible and since I thought everyone did such a great job,I had my eight year old nephew pick three names out of a hat.
My sister, the HoInMo, was one of the winners but I didn't think that was very fair, I shouldn't have put it in to start with, so he pulled another name. Sadly, none of the names chosen were yours.
Now, if we've lost you as a reader, sorry to hear that, but put your big boy pants on and get over it. It was a contest. You didn't win. Try again next time.
Plus, I just noticed Henry said he isn't in the US, I screwed up. If Henry can't send me an eligible address within the next 24 hours, I will have to draw a different name. If you get pissy and leave, you'll never know if my mistake worked in your favor.
