Are You Ready For Another Top Chef Show

From the New York Post:

Bravo sweetens the deal with 'Top Chef' spinoff:

How sweet it is.
Pastry junkies will get their fix when "Top Chef: Just Desserts" makes its debut sometime in 2010,
Variety reports. The spinoff comes on the heels of the hit show's celebrity-chef version, "Top Chef Masters," getting a second-season pickup.
Bravo execs say no host or judges are yet in place, but they will be selected in the coming weeks. With "Top Chef," "Masters" and now "Just Desserts," the hope is that there will be a version of "Top Chef" on the tube year-round.
Open casting calls for the new series begins today in Chicago and continues over the next few weeks in cities across the country, including New York Nov. 8.

It will be interesting to compare this with the various Food Network Challenge pastry competitions.

I like the sound of that.

This might be better than the Food Network shows because they'll probably be getting a wider variety of people, and we can see them develop over time instead of just knowing that they own their own bakeries.

Its about time pastry chefs get some recognition. Unlike cooking, baking requires precision and TIME. Should be interesting.
